Shipping policy

When will my order arrive?

Items ordered from Explaso can be expected to arrive by the estimated delivery date and it is shown for each item, during checkout. When your order ships you will receive an email with tracking information and the estimated delivery date is an estimate meaning items may arrive sooner and delays or certain situations may arise which may result in the order being delayed or unable to be delivered on the estimated delivery date so this is an estimate and not guaranteed

How can I track the status of my parcel?

When your order is shipped, you will receive an email confirming the order has been shipped with tracking information that contains a tracking number

Within your Explaso account you can track your order by going to the Order History which is under My Account, and then you can click on any order number to get the complete order details including the tracking number. If you click on the tracking number it will take you directly to the shipping carrier’s website and on the carrier's website you can follow the progress of your shipment / shipments

What is the shipment cost of my order?

Select the delivery country during the checkout process and shipping costs will be calculated automatically and they will depend on the

  • Destination of the country

  • Size and the weight of the parcel

  • The shipping method used

Explaso offers different types of shipping methods and the prices for each shipping method that we have available will be displayed at checkout

If you are looking for your country during the checkout process and you can not see it listed, then it may be that Explaso does not ship in that country at that time

What carrier does Explaso use to ship customer orders?

Explaso ships customer orders via UPS or DHL which depends on your country

UPS delivers parcels Monday to Friday and Saturday, excluding UPS holidays. UPS may make up to three delivery attempts of your parcel at their discretion at your delivery address on their regular delivery days. After the final attempt parcels that are undelivered are returned to Explaso

To help prevent your parcel being returned to Explaso or to make alternative delivery arrangements, track your parcel. If you want to collect your parcel at a UPS Customer Centre, your request must be received by 7 pm

DHL delivers parcels Monday to Friday and Saturday, excluding DHL holidays. If you miss the DHL driver on the delivery date they will leave a card which will let you know that they will try to deliver the parcel again the next working day. If on the second delivery attempt no one is home to take the order then the driver will leave a card with information letting you know that you can collect the parcel at a DHL sorting center. You have five days to collect the parcel because after it will be returned back to Explaso

If you want to plan a third delivery attempt or have the parcel delivered to a different address than the address it was originally delivered to then you can arrange this with Explaso

Where does Explaso ship to?

You can find out what countries we currently offer shipping to by selecting your location on the country selector during the checkout process

Do I need to pay import duties and taxes?

Import duties and taxes are set by the local Customs Authority in the destination country of the customer and they will depend on different factors such as

  • The country of origin of the goods purchased

  • The local tax rates

  • The local import duties

It is not the responsibility of Explaso to pay these charges and it is the customers responsibility to pay them when and/if they are asked by their local authorities in their country

Explaso landed cost shipping service allows our customers to prepay all taxes so they will not be additional charges when they receive their parcel

Customers can prepay the duties during checkout on our site

If prepayment is supported for a customer order then you will be quoted as following: e.g

“Prepay €……. For import duties, taxes and fees now and there will not be additional charges when you receive your parcel
